How to Prepare For your

Fall Mini Session

Hey there, and thanks for booking a spot in my upcoming Fall Mini Sessions! I'm thrilled to capture some genuine, heartwarming moments with you. To make sure your time with me is as smooth as possible, here's a quick guide to help you prepare.

The Importance of Timing

First things first, timing is key. I schedule these sessions during the golden hour to make the most of that beautiful, warm light. Given that our time is limited, punctuality is crucial. If you're late, I can't guarantee your session will happen, so please aim to be early or right on time.

Dressing for Success

Wondering what to wear? Let's keep it comfy and real. Whether you're a jeans and cozy sweater type or you prefer something more coordinated, go for it. Layering is always smart in our unpredictable Seattle weather—a stylish jacket or scarf can add both warmth and flair, and water-resistant footwear is a win.

Pets Are More Than Welcome

You know what can really elevate your photos? Having your well-behaved, leashed pup join in on the fun! Dogs are more than welcome and can add that extra layer of personality and warmth to your pictures.

Just Be You (And How to Prep Hesitant Kids)

The best photos happen when you're relaxed and just being yourself. For adults, that means letting your true personality shine. For kiddos who might be a bit unsure about the photo session, the key is to keep it low-key. Maybe frame it as a fun outing where they'll get to explore and play, without putting too much emphasis on the photos. I'll also make sure the session is engaging for them. Trust me, a well-timed snack or a quick game can go a long way in keeping everyone's spirits high. So whether you're two-legged or four, the focus is on capturing your unique spirit and those real connections that make you, well, you.

The Seattle Weather Factor: Rescheduling

Seattle weather can be a bit unpredictable. While a little mist or cloud cover can add some authentic Pacific Northwest charm to your photos, heavy rain is another story. If the weather decides not to cooperate, don't worry! I will be in touch to discuss rescheduling options. My goal is to make sure your mini-session experience is enjoyable, come rain or shine—or hopefully, that beautiful golden light we're all rooting for!

So there you have it! All set to make your Fall Mini Session a fun and memorable experience. If you've got any lingering questions or just want to chat before we meet up, feel free to reach out. Can't wait to capture your family this fall. See you soon!
